Weed Harvesting
We have been harvesting weeds on Clark Lake since the 1950s. CLCA owns the weed harvester, 2 conveyers and dump truck that are used to run the operation. We employee 2 full-time operators from June - August that cut weeds 4 days per week. We annually take out 200-250 dump truck of weeds and disperse them at a local farmer's property to utilize as fertilizer. The membership pays an annual per foot fee for their property to have the weeds cut in front of their docks as well as the general waterways. This operation is validated with a DNR permit each year. Weed Harvesting takes many hands and we feel very fortunate to have wonderful employees and volunteers that make it happen to be able to enjoy beautiful
Clark Lake.
